Anxiety Therapy & Coaching

You don’t just want to cope.
You want to feel like yourself again.

When anxiety starts to take over

You just want to feel better. But your mind will not slow down.

Anxiety fills your thoughts with constant to-do lists, worries, and what-ifs. Your mind jumps to worst-case scenarios, even when you know they are unlikely or unrealistic.

At times, it is not just mental. Your body reacts too. A sudden rush of panic. A tight chest. The urge to escape, even when nothing is actually wrong.

You try to manage it. You push through. You look for ways to control it.

But nothing seems to work in a lasting way.

You feel stuck, frustrated with yourself and tired of feeling this way. You want to be able to relax. You want to be present and enjoy yourself. You want to actually experience your life instead of just getting through it.

At the core, you want to feel like yourself again.

You've probably already tried to manage it

Most of our clients are thoughtful, capable people who have already put real effort into handling their anxiety.

You may have learned tools. You may try to stay busy or push yourself through situations. You may even be functioning well on the outside.

But internally, it still feels like a struggle.

The same thoughts come back. The same reactions show up. And it can start to feel like you are stuck in a never-ending loop.

What if it did not have to be this way?

What if you did not have to keep working so hard to "manage" your anxiety?

What if the constant overthinking, tension, and reactivity actually started to shift?

What if you could feel calm, grounded, and more in control of your internal experience?

We believe that kind of change is possible.

We focus on the root of anxiety

Many approaches to anxiety focus on managing symptoms.

That can help in the moment. But if the underlying pattern does not change, the anxiety tends to come back.

Our work is focused on something deeper.

We use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand the different parts of you that drive anxiety, self-doubt, and overthinking. These reactions are not random. They are patterns that developed for a reason, even if they no longer serve you. We get to the root of these patterns and rewire them in your brain so they're no longer activated in the same way.

Kathryn also uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process the underlying experiences that keep certain responses in place. This allows for deeper and more lasting change.

This is not about adding more coping tools.

It is about changing the patterns underneath so you can actually feel different.

The kinds of anxiety we work with

We work with anxiety across a wide range of experiences, from ongoing stress to more intense or persistent patterns.

Some clients come to us feeling constantly overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or unsure of themselves. Others are dealing with more acute forms of anxiety that are harder to manage on their own.

This can include:

  • Ongoing stress and overwhelm

  • Overthinking and difficulty switching off

  • Self-doubt and lack of confidence

  • Panic attacks

  • Phobias such as flying, driving, or public speaking

  • OCD - Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors such as checking, washing, or intrusive thoughts

  • Trauma or past experiences that still feel affect you in some unwanted way

  • Performance anxiety in golfers

What change can look like

As this work progresses, many clients begin to notice:

  • Less overthinking and more clarity

  • A greater sense of calm in their body

  • More confidence in themselves and their decisions

  • Less reactivity in situations that used to feel overwhelming

  • A stronger sense of being grounded and present

This is what it looks like to move beyond coping.
